Greenstreets later Stardust Lounge

A short-lived LGBTQ+ dance venue opened at 112-114 Green Street in 1972. Called Greenstreets, after the actor Sydney Greenstreet and not its address, the club boosted a 1930s décor and offered dining and dancing on two level with 20 tables. The club closed the following year but enjoyed a brief rebirth as the Stardust lounge, which hosted a “foxy male” contest on Sundays and “Special Women’s Night” on Fridays.
